iCTO – 1 Year On

April 29, 2019

iCTO

Well, its been a while since our last Spotlight (and apologies for that), however time has flown by, so much so that 1 year has come and gone already for iCTO. Much has changed since our inception – both with our business and the fast paced world of IT. Much of the past year’s success could only be achieved with the support we have had from our families, business partners and local businesses, so a big thank you goes out to you all.

The Past Year

We started out offering interim IT Execs and Advisory Services to local businesses which had its successes, but was quite niche. iCTO contains a wide breadth of knowledge, which allowed us to quickly adapt to meet the demands, which found us expanding into consultancy services and cloud adoption services.  Being independent also gave us a unique perspective on technologies, that our customers appreciated the “cut to the chase” discussions – whereby we stripped the markitecture away from reality, providing a more realistic overview of solutions.

We found common use of our services with local businesses was to challenge the culture, demonstrating new modern and alternative methods of productivity. Already our customers are benefiting from The Digital Workspace, enhanced collaboration and enhanced compliance (with protect at source methodologies), thus further maturing their IT solutions.

What Next for iCTO?

So what does the next year hold for us? Well, time to get that crystal ball out (if asked a year ago the same question, I could not have predicted the progress iCTO had made in such a short time scale). One thing though, we are investing heavily into the business in order to offer even better, and more diverse services to our customers.

Knowledge & Services: We will be expanding our knowledge portfolio into new areas including: Automation, Internet of Things (IoT) and Virtual Reality (VR); whilst expanding into new sectors including education etc. We are working hard on obtaining the latest certifications, clearances and qualifications to further benefit our customers.

Charity: We will also be working closely with local charities, offering our services to assist their development, lifting the burden of IT and allowing them to focus on what is important, This is an area extremely important to our founders, as they have been personally affected and have benefited from the recent assistance of these charities and want to give back to the community.

Education: This is another area close to our hearts where more needs to be done. The next generation will grow up clutching some form of digital device, in fact evidence has shown that toddlers know their way around a well-known fruit-themed device, long before their first sentence.  IT literacy is a must for any profession these days, therefore the next generation need to be prepared. iCTO is planning on working with education centres on new modern methods of adoption and consumption of IT services to assist with this (just imagine extending a lesson subject matter into virtual reality e.g. placing the student in the middle of The Great War trenches, or on the first flight of Concorde or even the moon).

More to Follow: We have more up our sleeves, but we will discuss these at a later date, but for now I hope that we can continue this journey, with our new and existing customers and look forward to the year ahead, its looking as exciting as the previous year, and we have only just started.

Thanks for all your support. Here is to the year ahead.
